System Of A Down will reform next June and play Download 2011 as part of a tour of European festivals.

Speaking of press releases (been learning a lot about that in class):

“Hello All,

We are excited to announce that System will be playing some dates together in 2011.

We also want to thank you for your loyalty and support, not only to System Of A Down, but to all of our solo efforts as well. We have no master plan of sorts - we are playing these shows simply because we want to play together again as a band and for you, our amazing fans.

We look forward to seeing all of you!

Peace,

System Of A Down”

“Fans already seem to understand, and have turned what might have once looked like a side project to Keenan’s work with Tool into a platinum-selling act with a distinct sound and purpose.” —A Perfect Circle officially ended a six-year hiatus last week by launching a five-city tour. -LA Times

What's new on 9 Nov 2010?

I got the long anticipated Hellogoodbye’s CD, “Would it kill you?” which I think is funny since I’m also borrowing August House’s, “Excuse me for living!” (2009).

It’s like a couple-like conversation. It makes me smile.

And even though I’ve dedicated this bloggy-type thingy to music whatnot, I find it only appropriate to point out Scott Pilgrim vs. the World came out today as well. Amazing movie, amazing music. It’s a mix of all things pretty. :)

“Quirky Danish indie popsters Mimas might have a schizophrenic quality about their music that, at times, makes it sound like it was flung out in an afternoon’s practice but, don’t be fooled, this is music planned with military precision.” —(7) Rocksound 30 Oct. 2010. For fans of Modest Mouse - like myself - so remind me to pick up a copy. They sound lovely. Plus, I can’t refuse indie rock bands with accents.
